The Record of Events, 2015-present

Part of my approach to artmaking is an almost spiritual belief in the value of the materials that enter my studio. But if the artwork is a failure, I still feel invested and obligated to the materials that comprised it. I have been working on an ongoing series re-using the rejected prints and drawings from my studio, and the many prints and sketches I make as a printmaking professor.

Each of these art pieces is like a locked book, made of the old artworks from my past, a diary of being an artist.
